Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia- Fear of Long Words

Some people honestly believe that it's a sick joke. People with this fear are afraid of long words yet they can't even explain their fear because the phobia's name is so long. These people get rapid heartbeats or feel dread or terror. There is a common misspelling of the word (this name is thought to be the one spelled correctly) which is actually longer than the other spelling. Some think this another cruel joke, making the name even longer than it was originally.

Geliophobia- Fear of Laughter.

The fear of laughing or being around others who are laughing or laugh often. People with this fear feel their teeth are ugly because they have never had any "corrective orthodontic treatment" to their teeth. These people may also force themselves not to smile or laugh, even if they hear something funny, to avoid people looking at their teeth. Though it may seem strange, it is a VERY common phobia compared to some others posted on this blog.

Ephebiphobia- Fear of Teenagers

More people than you could imagine have this irrational fear. People like this can't tolerate being around teenagers, or are prejudice against them because of the strange transition they are going through; turning into an adult but still being a child. Some of these people can't tolerate the "mass media" of them while others hate the social behaviors that many teens follow. Some are simply afraid of gangs and will cross the road to avoid continuing on a path where a teenager is located.
